On statues and philosophy

I have a new article on What To Do About Now?, the wonderful creation of my UCL colleague Hannah McHugh in which young philosophers share their thoughts about current affairs. In it I engage with this article by CM Lim on the question of tainted historical statues, and ask whether certain philosophical methods – in particular charitable interpretation – can obscure some aspects of political debates.

You can read my article here.
